Once upon a time, in Batu Pahat, West Malaysia, there lived a girl named Ginny who was really funny. Everyone called her ‘Funny Ginny’. She lived with her father, mother and brother, Timmy. She was always doing funny things and making people laugh.
One fine day,  she was walking along the street in front of her house when she saw  a small  string lying there. She was very curious about the string as it was shining. She went close to see what it was when, suddenly,  the shiny string started moving! “AAAAHHHHH!” she screamed.
In a shock, she fell backwards into a pail of white paint. The little string was actually a small harmless worm. She got up and stood there with white paint flowing from her hair down her face. All the people passing by saw her and burst out laughing. She walked all the way home with her friends who  burst out laughing every time they looked at  her. She looked like a GHOST!

As she went into the house, her brother, Timmy, who had just woken up from an afternoon nap saw her and jumped up. He ran into the kitchen screaming…”Mum! There’s a ghost in the house!”

Mother walked into the hall holding a plate of bananas. She got a real shock at seeing her daughter. The bananas went flying. At that moment, her father came home and burst out laughing on seeing his daughter looking like a GHOST!....  And that’s not all.
One school holiday, the whole family went to the beach for a picnic.  There, the children started running around on the beach. All of a sudden, Ginny started yelling and running towards her mother. She looked like she had seen a terrible ZOMBIE. Her mouth was so wide open you could see her stomach!
She was flailing her arms and running so fast that her legs seemed like they were not even touching the ground. She looked like a helicopter.

When she reached her mother she fell to her knees and pointed behind her. When her mother looked behind Ginny she saw a tiny crab.
Mum! Mum! Look!... there is a monster chasing me.” Her mother and father burst out  laughing on seeing the way Ginny was running.     “You are such a funny girl!” said her mother, “No wonder everyone calls you ‘Funny Ginny’. It’s just a harmless little crab. Look! There are little crabs every where.”
“WHAT! EVERYWHERE ? LITTLE CRAB? It’s a MONSTER!” she screeched, “It bit me! Look at my foot!” Ginny was so terrified of the crabs that she was jumping about here and there. Finally, she got a large towel and wrapped herself in it. The whole day Ginny sat on a high rock wrapped in a towel with a stick in her hands screaming, jumping and chasing away  ‘monster’ crabs. Only her eyes could be seen under the towel and SHE looked like the MONSTER!
Later, on the way home they stopped at a little restaurant to have tea. Ginny got out of the car. She was day dreaming and was not looking where she was walking. Then, she walked straight into the restaurant and  sat at one of the tables and waited for her family.
After a little while her father appeared and stared at her. He asked, “Ginny! What are you doing here?”  “I am waiting for all of you, dad,” she said, putting her hands up and feeling very smart.

He sat beside her and whispered in her ear, “Ginny! We are all in the restaurant next door.” Ginny gawked  at her dad. Her eyes nearly popped out and fell onto the floor and her mouth dropped open!!
She walked dragging her feet silently behind her father and went to where her family was. She hung her head down . When her father told them what had happened. Her mum and Timmy burst out laughing.
In another episode, Ginny had to wake up early one morning  as the whole family was going to attend a relatives’ wedding. They had to get ready and start early. She was really feeling sleepy.  Timmy was in the bathroom so she went into her mother’s bathroom. Her mother’s friend had bought a green hair dye for a concert. It was to be thrown away but her mum had forgotten to throw it away. It was in the bathroom. Ginny was so sleepy that she thought that it was a hair tonic and had applied the green dye onto her hair. She happily left it on her hair while she brushed her teeth and washed her face and waited for the bathtub to fill up with water.
Then, she got into the tub. Still feeling sleepy, she had her eyes closed. After she had washed herself… AND HER HAIR…. she noticed that the water was greenish. She was wondering why.
“Hmm.. I must tell mum afterwards that there is something wrong with her tap,” she thought  cleverly.

She went to her room to get ready. She went to the mirror to comb her hair  and….“AAAAHHHH!” she screamed when she saw herself. Alas!! Her hair was all GREEN! She thought it was a green  gargoyle….. she nearly fainted. She screamed again and started running around in her room. Then, she ran out of her room. Her parents and Timmy dashed to see what had happened. On seeing Ginny’s hair they rolled around laughing.
Mum had no black dye… and so…..

The wedding was held at a beach. All the guests had arrived when Ginny and her family reached the venue. Her parents and Timmy got out of the car and all the relatives came to greet them. They asked about Ginny. Then, slowly the car door opened and Ginny stepped out. The relatives took one look at Ginny and burst out laughing… Ginny had worn a green dress and a green pair of shoes to match her GREEN HAIR!
Once again everyone had a good laugh … thanks to ….. Funny Ginny!
